Sir,
Enclosure No. 2.
C.R.No.13330(C.B.)
б
Army Headquarters,
South Clina Comand,
Hon Long.
8th November, 1928.
Kowloon Peak Barrack Sites.
With reference to your letter c.2560/1926
dated 3rd November 1928, I am to say that I fully concur with your view that the continued retention by the Tar Department of the Kowloon Barrack Sites is no longer necessary.
I am continuing to press the matter with the Army Council and only addressed a letter to them on the subject on 31st October.
I may add that the arguments in favour of abandonment of these barrack sites set out in your letter
under reply, have not been overlooked in making my recommend-
ations to War Office.
The Honourable
The Colonial Secretary,
Hong Kong.
I a, &c.,
(Sd.) R. 3. Skinner,
Colonel,
Chief Engineer, South China.
